Welcome

This is an exciting partnership project between ESITH in Morocco and Doncaster College, supported by the British Council.
The project aims to share and develop best practice in a number of areas:
  • Employer Engagement
  • Quality Assurance
  • Curriculum development
The sharing of best practice is not only between the College partners, but also more broadly, so publicity and communication are key to the success of the project.

Ultimately, the results of the project must make a lasting impact, so sustainability in all the above aspects is also critical.

Underpinning the project is the initial development of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) resource, so all the curriculum developed can be taught in English.

Employer Engagement targets relate to developing lasting relationships with Employers. Employers will be consulted about the content of new curriculum; we will also look for student placements and internships, and for representatives from business to speak in College as guest lecturers.

Curriculum will be developed in the following subjects:
  • Enterprise (UK to Morocco)
  • Warehousing (UK to Morocco)
  • Merchandising (UK to Morocco)
  • Textile Production (Morocco to UK)
Key to the sustainability of the project is that both staff and students from each college will visit the other. Some module delivery will be on the visit agendas, so too will be 'train the trainer' sessions so that the new curriculum modules can be confidently taught in the future.

To date work is focussing on the development of the EFL resource, incorporating e based 3D objects, and on planning Employer Engagement strategies.

Further updates will be added as work progresses.
